On January, 15th 2010 the kick-off meeting of the "Short-Rotation-Plantations-Network Germany" took place in Bremerhaven.  Through cooperation by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology promotional program ZIM-NEMO, it is now possible to connect small- and medium-sized enterprises with the right market and researchs in a project funded network.  As a result, a sustainable and mutually beneficial network for all participants was constructed. Thus allowing for a dynamic upgrade to the SRC idea as well as future projects.

The project duration is 3 years. Subsequently, individual initiatives should be taken and practical examples provided for new projects in other regions.
